Taytum is a little bit of everything all at once! Is it possible for such a little heart to hold so much inside? She is an expert at bouncing and fan of short hair, (apparently from her many self-imposed haircuts.) She knows how to melt your heart in a split second, but you'd better brace yourself for her jump-huggin' hellos! She should write a book "How to teach your infant to whistle." She's been a whistlin' fool from the time she pushed those ruby lips together and expelled the first brilliant sound. It must be that happiness in her heart just needs a way to escape, like the steam from a kettle.

Taytum and the Girls' first day of school. [Little did she know it would be her last...]
The neighborhood is run amuck with boys, but the girls hold their own.

Sweet Seven

Sweet Seven

[December 15th, 2007]
Taytum turned seven this year! Seven years old and still hasn't lost a tooth! She is growing like a beanpole though. She wishes she could still be the baby, or so she informed us recently.

Since I can remember, Taytum has been her own fashion stylist. And boy does she work it! Who else could pull off wearing a boy's Batman T-shirt and Cowboy boots? Some days it is the Strawberry Shortcake hat that adorns her head, and others the Harry Potter Cape that she fancies. Watch out for those days where Stitch prevails, you never know what kind of mischief will come of that! But, no matter what's worn up top, nothing makes a girl feel more free than the wiggly freedom of sockless toes in boots!

Taytum giving the ocean a piece of her mind. She is so effervescent!

Lions have always been Lainey's thing, so I don't know why it is Taytum is suddenly obsessed. I can't seem to get her to take off this Lion costume! She wears it throughout the day and would wear it in public if I let her! I have made the compromise of letting her wear her cheetah headband and tail when we are out and about. We finally had to forbid Mr.Lion from coming to the dinner table because she only knew how to eat like a lion would whenever she wore it during meals. Strange little girl!

Flying Lessons

No, this photo is not doctored! Kent really does throw our kids that high into the sky! I am used to it, but strangers about have heart attacks when they see him throwing our kids around. Taytum got a kick out of it every time! [Could this be where she got her need to jump off things?]

Crayola O.C.D.

Crayola O.C.D.

We finally found the right medication for Tay's ADHD... the first day she took it she spent hours color coordinating her crayons and making sure they were perfectly lined up side by side in gradient of color and shade.
